怀旧情绪在现当代艺术中的困境与潜力探究

摘　　要：“怀旧”在西方现当代艺术界遭到了长期的批判与无视。可当代心理学的研究却表明,怀旧是一种以服务当下心理需要为目的,以“今昔并置”结构为核心,且苦乐参半的复杂情绪。它既有可能发挥正向心理作用,也有可能在心理甚至生理层面对怀旧者造成负面影响。这种复杂性使怀旧在艺术创作中能够发挥的作用远不止“将作品限制为对美好过去的描绘”,它作为一种创作动力,有着通过刺激“对体验的开放性”而促进创造力,进而在情感体验和理性思考等方面扩展艺术家和观众的可体验范围的潜力。“Nostalgia”in the Western contemporary art world,has long been subject to critical scrutiny and neglect.However,the contemporary psychological research has suggested that nostalgia is a kind of complex emotion that serves the psychological needs of the present,with its core structure of“juxtaposition between the present and the past”,which is characterized by a mix of pleasure and pain.It can either have a positive psychological impact or potentially cause negative psychological,or even physiological effects on nostalgic individuals.This complexity allows nostalgia to play a role in artistic creation that extends far beyond“limiting the work to a portrayal of the good old days”,serving as a creative drive that fosters the creativity by stimulating“the openness to the experience”,and thereby it expands the experiential range of both artists and audiences in terms of emotional engagement and rational inquiry.
