摘　　要：文化身份建构是华裔美国文学和批评的重要议题。在这种建构中,种族和性别问题紧密交织,凸显了华裔美国文学许多重要议题:华人劳工被遗忘的奋斗史、亚美族群被阉割的男性气质和文化民族主义的呼吁等成为构建华裔文化身份的重要内容。通过对《唐人街》《中国佬》《甘加丁之路》和《人生百味》等作品的研究发现,许多美国华裔作家都选取中国传统文化中的关公形象为代言人,书写华裔美国历史,挑战主流对华工的刻板印象,重建华人男性气质,在传承中国传统文化精神的基础上确定华裔身份的合法性。尽管关公形象在这些作品中有不同程度的变异,华裔文学在海外的畅销推进了中华传统文化的全球化进程。The construction of cultural identity is an important issue in American literature and criticism of Chinese origin.In such a construction,racial and gender issues are closely interwoven,accentuating numerous subjects in American literature of Chinese origin:the forgotten history of struggle of the Chinese labourers,the castrated masculinity of Asian-American groups and the calls of cultural nationalism,which have become important contents in the construction of Chinese cultural identity.By way of research into such works as Chinatown,The Chinaman,Gunga Din Highway,and All the Flavours it can be found that many Chinese American writers have chosen the image of Guan Gong from traditional Chinese culture as their spokesperson in writing Chinese American history,challenging the mainstream stereotype of the Chinese labourers,and rebuilding the masculinity of Chinese,establishing the legality of Chinese identity in inheriting the traditional Chinese spirit.Even though there is a variation to a certain degree on the image of Guan Gong in those works,the literature of Chinese origin well sold overseas has been advancing the process of globalization of traditional Chinese culture.
