Objective Examining the role of standardised nutritional care in improving toxicity response and quality of life of colorectal cancer patients treated with chemotherapy(hereafter referred to as chemotherapy). Methods A total of 101 patients with colorectal cancer who received treatment in our hospital from February 2021 to December 2023 were selected and grouped by random numbers generated by computer. The number of patients in the control group and the observation group were 50 and 51.The control group received routine nutrition care, while the observation group received standardized nutrition care.Toxic response to chemotherapy and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After care, the observation group compared with the control group in terms of digestive tract reaction grade 1-4,neurotoxic reaction grade 1-3,and haematotoxic reaction grade 1-4,all of which were P<0.05;The quality of life questionnaire-Chinese Cancer Chemotherapy Patients(QLQ-CCC)scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Standardised nutritional care for patients undergoing chemotherapy for colorectal cancer improves quality of life.
