《淮南子》命名的演变及其定型

摘　　要：《淮南子》由西汉淮南王刘安召集门客以道家思想为基础综合其他思想编撰而成。刘安最初将《淮南子》定名“鸿烈”,借此名彰显自身学术功绩与政治理想,又称《刘氏之书》。后因刘安谋反,刘向在校书时将其重新定名为“淮南”。经后世流传,“淮南子”逐渐成为通名。《淮南子》由于成书年代较早又久经流传,于是逐渐产生了诸多异名,如《淮南内》《淮南外》《淮南书》《淮南记》《淮南鸿烈》《刘安子》《淮南鸿烈解》等。其异名的致因可归纳为编撰者与书籍地位改变、误传、完善信息以及学者自创形成等原因。“Huainanzi”was compiled by Liu An,the King of Huainan in the Western Han Dynasty,who gathered his disciples to synthesize other ideas based on Taoist philosophy.Liu An initially named“Huainanzi”as“Honglie”to showcase his academic achievements and political ideals,also known as“The Book of Liu”.Later,due to Liu An’s rebellion,Liu Xiang renamed it“Huainan”while studying at school.Through later generations,‘Huainanzi’gradually became a common name.Due to its early publication and extensive circulation,“Huainanzi”gradually gave rise to many synonyms,such as“Huainannei”,“Huainanwai”,“Huainanshu”,“Huainanji”,“Huainanhonglie”,“Liu Anzi”,“Interpretation Huainanhonglie”,and so on.The reasons for its homonym can be summarized as changes inof the status of the compiler and the book,misinformation,improvement of information,and self?creation by scholars.
