概念史视角下“翻译行动者”的移译与嬗变

摘　　要：“翻译行动者”承载着翻译活动中各行动者与社会的动态联结,是当代译学研究的重要概念。论文借助概念史的研究路径,探析从agent到“翻译行动者”这一跨语言、跨学科的概念移译、嬗变与构建过程,发现agent以“社会行动者”含义嫁接于翻译产业中的“代理人”角色,二者在翻译学的“社会学转向”中逐渐发展、融合为“翻译行动者”概念。考察人类与非人类“翻译行动者”需针对不同的研究问题选取相应的研究方法。在当前数智翻译技术兴起的背景下,“翻译行动者”概念为考察机器与人工智能翻译的角色与功能,解决由此引发的社会伦理问题提供了可资借鉴的理论工具。The concept of translation agent encapsulates the dynamic interplay between agents in translation activities and the broader social context,highlighting its importance in contemporary translation studies.Through the lens of conceptual history,this paper investigates the cross-linguistic and cross-disciplinary transference and transformation from agent to the Chinese equivalent of translation agent,and uncovers how agent,initially connoting a social agent,has been integrated into the intermediary role in the translation industry,leading to the gradual fusion of these ideas into the concept of translation agent during the sociological turn in translation studies.The examination of both human and nonhuman translation agents necessitates the selection of appropriate research methods to specific questions.In the present AI era,the concept of translation agent serves as a vital analytical tool for examining the roles and functions of machine and AI translation,while also addressing the accompanying social and ethical challenges.
