企业间双元控制对知识转移的影响研究:获取能力的调节作用

摘　　要：VUCA特性环境的兴起引致企业间知识转移及其治理活动的深度改变。如何配置一种既能管控模糊机会主义行为又能给予充分且自由交流的自适应性机制以提高获取关键技术资源的便捷性,已成为VUCA环境下企业间知识活动面临的重要挑战。以往基于“二选一”逻辑范式分析正式与非正式控制间的关联性和冲突性,并不能有效应对VUCA环境挑战和满足企业对双重治理功效的高要求。从VUCA环境特性入手重新审视治理机制和知识转移活动,结合双元理论探讨VUCA情境下有效的企业间治理机制,发展出企业间双元控制概念,并揭示了企业间双元控制的不同整合模式与差异化知识转移之间的匹配关系,进一步考察了获取能力的调节作用。基于260家中国企业的调研数据,结果发现:过程与社会控制的组合(平衡)更有利于技术转移,而结果与社会控制的组合(平衡)更有利于技巧交流;获取能力负向调节“过程与社会控制的组合—技术转移”“结果与社会控制的组合—技巧交流”间的关系。The emergence of the volatile,uncertain,complex,and ambiguous(VUCA)environment has profoundly changed the nature of knowledge types,knowledge activity pathways,and knowledge governance.The importance of interfirm knowledge transfer in key technological activities has once again become evident.However,configuring an adaptive mechanism that can control fuzzy opportunistic behavior while allowing sufficient and free communication to enhance the accessibility of critical technological resources in the VUCA environment remains a challenge.Recent research has attempted to explore the explanatory logic of governance mechanisms in the context of emerging technologies.Unfortunately,this stream of work has often adopted an“either-or”logic paradigm to analyze the interrelation and contradictory between different governance mechanisms,such as formal and informal controls.Such an approach provides simplistic and one-sided explanations of mechanisms like facilitating or inhibiting mechanisms.It falls short in effectively addressing the challenges posed by the VUCA environment and meeting the high demands of firms for dual governance efficacy.Therefore,how to adapt control mechanisms to promote complex interfirm knowledge transfer in the VUCA situations has become a focal issue to be solved urgently in the intersection of governance and knowledge transfer domains.To fill the research gaps mentioned above,this study reexamines governance mechanisms and knowledge transfer activities by starting with the characteristics of VUCA environment.Building upon the ambidexterity theory,this study develops the concept of interfirm ambidextrous control and reveals the matching relationships between different integration patterns of interfirm ambidextrous control and differentiated knowledge transfer.Furthermore,the study examines the moderating effect of acquisition capability in this context.Based on the survey data from 260 manufacturing firms,our empirical results indicate that:(1)The combination(balance)of process and social control
