摘　　要：兰卡斯特大学工程学院的这栋新大楼设置了各种各样的工作室、实验室和学术办公室,可容纳各种高度专业的学科。除了为越来越多的教职员工和学生提供新的学术空间外,兰卡斯特大学还提出了双重任务:设计一座能够改善工程学院公众形象和工作环境的建筑,建造一座高度可持续的设施,取得英国建筑研究院环境评估方法(BREEAM)“杰出级”认证。This new home for the School of Engineering at Lancaster University provides a diverse range of workshops;laboratories and academic offices,accommodating a variety of highly-specialist disciplines.In addition to providing new academic space for an expanding cohort of staff and students the University’s brief was twofold;to create a building which would improve the public face and working environment of the department,and to build a highly sustainable facility achieving BREEAM Outstanding.
