摘  要:权力是某些人对他人产生预期效果的能力,是高等教育治理的核心组织要素之一。学术权力是指高等教育系统的权力分配,而非特指与学术活动或学术工作有关的权力。学术权力的分配模式决定了高等教育治理的基本特征。虽然《学术权力——七国高等教育管理体制比较》所研究的内容是20世纪70年代之前的七国高等教育系统权力分配方式,无法帮助我们了解其后各国高等教育系统权力模式的发展和变化,但是,再读此书,更准确地理解学术权力的概念、形式和模式以及相关研究的分析框架和分析方法,对我们开展高等教育系统治理的理论研究或改革实践探索,对推进我国高等教育治理体系的现代化,仍然有启发和借鉴意义。Power is the ability of certain individuals to exert a desired effect on others and is one of the core organizational elements in the governance of higher education.Academic power refers to the distribution of power within higher education systems,not specifically related to academic activities or work pertaining to academia.The distribution model of academic power determines the fundamental characteristics of higher education governance.Although the content studied in“Academic Power:Patterns of Authority in Seven National Systems of Higher Education”pertains to the power distribution of higher education systems in seven countries before the 1970s,which does not help us understand the development and changes in the power models of higher education systems in those countries thereafter,revisiting this book to more accurately understand the concepts,forms,and models of academic power,as well as the analytical framework and methods used in related research,is still enlightening and referential for our theoretical studies or reform practices in the governance of higher education systems,and for promoting the modernization of China’s higher education governance system.
