摘 要:晚清是一个特殊的历史时期,在西学东渐的影响下,晚清社会掀起翻译西方数学著作的热潮。一批开明的译者毅然承担起通过翻译西方数学知识以图强的重任,他们选取西方经典数学著作来进行翻译。在这一数学翻译实践中,中国译者通过汉译数学术语来促进西方数学知识的本土化,从而实现数学知识的流转,数学思想的传播,以及推动中国数学翻译实践的变革。同时,通过数学翻译来促进中西数学知识的融通,以及在批判中进行整合与创新。晚清时期,西方数学知识在翻译过程中进行了本土化表述,也在知识再生产中形成了新的数学知识体系,并且在知识选择和建构中进行了分门研学。总之,知识的流转离不开译者的实践。因此,在中西文明互动下,晚清译者对西方数学知识也进行了本土实践,努力构建系统化的数学理论体系。最终,在文明互鉴中形成自身的新知识体系,从而逐步构建起中国数学的话语体系。The late Qing dynasty was a special historical period.Under the influence of Western learning into China,a boom in translating Western mathematical works was set off in the late Qing dynasty.A group of enlightened translators resolutely shouldered the responsibility of strengthening the nation through translating Western mathematics knowledge,among which they selected Western classical mathematical works for translation.In this practice of mathematics translation,Chinese translators promoted the localization of Western mathematics knowledge via translating the mathematics terms into Chinese to realize the flow of mathematics knowledge,the dissemination of mathematical ideas,and the reform to promote Chinese mathematics translation practice.At the same time,the integration and innovation of Chinese and Western mathematics knowledge was promoted through critical mathematics translation.In the late Qing Dynasty,the Western mathematics knowledge gained localized expression during the process of its translation,and a new mathematics knowledge system was formed in the knowledge reproduction.Specialized studies were conducted to contribute to the knowledge selection and construction as well.Therefore,under the interaction between Chinese and Western civilization,translators in the late Qing dynasty carried out localized practices of Western mathematics knowledge,striving to build a systematic mathematical theoretical structure.Ultimately,a new knowledge system was formed through mutual civilization learning to gradually establish Chinese mathematical discourse system.
