文学翻译研究的未来向度与空间  

The Direction and the Space for Further Development of Literary Translation Studies in China

摘　　要：本文从传统“请进来”和当下“走出去”两个视角,对我国文学翻译研究的未来向度和可能空间进行探索性的描绘。在传统视角下,我们未来需要加强在语言及其应用、文学性与审美性、生成性与过程性、翻译主体与译者行为、翻译文学与世界文学以及总体文学等方面的研究;未来中国文学外译研究需要关注翻译技能与文化站位相称性、作品人物形象与中国形象和谐性、翻译质量过程与传播系统工程相呼应、短效与长效兼顾、合作与把舵相结合、高校文学院与外国语学院协同等方面的研究。希望能够有利于文学翻译研究者更明晰自己今后探索的向度和聚焦的畛域。This paper explores the direction and the space for further developing Chinese literary translation studies.Taking asits points of reference both the traditional"inviting in the foreign" approach and the currently favored"sending out the Chinese"one to conducting theoretical inquiries,the paper argues that the two approaches actually complement each other and shouldbe applied simultaneously.Adopting the former approach would direct research interests to topic areas such as language andits application,literariness and aesthetics,generative fiumnction and process,translation agency and translator behavior,as well asthe relationship among translated literature,world literature and literature in general.Adopting the latter approach,on the otherhand,would focus attention on a different set of issues,including compatibility between translation skils and cultural positioning.agrement between character images in translated works and the image of the Chinese people in general,coespondence betweenthe criteria for assuring translation quality of individual works and the systemic requirements imposed by the project of culturadissemination,balancing the quests for shor-term and long-temm effects,coordinating the need to promote intemational cooperationand the need to exercise controling authority,and collaboration between literary studies and foreign languages studies as wellThe identification of these research topics and interests is expected to help literary translation researchers gain a clearer senseof the direction in which they should devote their efforts for the growth and expansion of China's literary translation studies.
