摘  要:随着科学技术的发展,单一关注语言符号系统在异域文化中的翻译转换,已无法完成对译本的全面解读,译者在先秦诸子典籍的译介过程中逐渐增加了漫画、绘本、视频等多种意义表现形式。文章试图分析漫画版《庄子》多模态英译本的视觉资源是如何建构意义并诠释庄学思想的。研究发现:译者通过调整聚焦系统下的多维视角和氛围系统下的颜色使用来构建文本人际意义;通过调整关涉页面结构的布局和作为图文边界形成手段的框架来构建语篇意义;通过调整译本所绘参与者、参与者行为动作和故事发生时间地点等构建概念意义。以上视觉资源的选用使得《庄子》漫画版英译本能够快速吸引异质文化语境下读者的注意力,减少读者认知负担,为英语世界了解中国古代典籍智慧打开快捷窗口。With the development of science and technology,a single focus on the translation and transformation of language symbol systems in foreign cultures is not sufficient for comprehensively interpreting the translated text.Translators have gradu-ally added various forms of meaning expression such as comic,picture book,and video in the process of translating and intro-ducing pre-Qin classics.This article attempts to analyze how the visual resources of the multi-modal English translation of the comic version of Zhuangzi construct its meaning and illustrate ideas of Zhuangzi.It is found that:interpersonal meaning in texts is constructed by adjusting the multidimensional perspectives under the focusing system and the color usage under the at-mosphere system;discourse meaning is constructed by adjusting the layout of the pages and the framework for forming textual boundaries;conceptual meaning is constructed by adjusting the participants,their behavior and actions,and the time and place of the story depicted in the translated text.The adoption of the above visual resources enables the English translation of the comic version Zhuangzi to rapidly attract readers'attention in heterogeneous cultural contexts,reduce readers'cognitive load,thereby providing a window for the English world to appreciate the wisdom of ancient Chinese classics.
