反问句的基本特征及正反问句的反问性——兼论正反问句的语用功能

摘　　要：反问句的四个基本特征分别是形式上是问句形式、主观上是无疑而问、语义上等同于字面命题的否定、语用上传达说话人的负面立场。这些基本特征可以帮助辨别各类语用功能的正反问句能否成为反问句。单从反问性来看,调整表述语气、表提醒或诘问、寻求认同等功能的正反问句的反问合格性依次减弱。The four basic characteristics of rhetorical questions are the interrogative sentence form,asking without question,actual semantics equivalented to the negation of literal thesis,and function for taking a negative stand.These basic characteristics are helpful for us to distinguish rhetorical questions and A-not-A questions.From the degree of question,A-not-A questions possessing function of adjusting mood,awaking or assailing,and seeking identification,constitute a rhetorical questions sequence with decreasing legitimacy.
