摘　　要：《玻璃城》是保罗·奥斯特的成名作,体现了其对空间问题的关注与思考。本文通过考察奥斯特的个人经历与小说中的日常生活空间、当权者的政治企图与纽约社会空间、犹太文化与差异空间之间的关系,从个体、社会和民族三个层面阐释小说中的空间话语,认为其投射了奥斯特为当代美国犹太人克服城市异化、抵抗社会规训和探寻犹太身份意义指明方向的主观意图。这既反映了作者对当代美国犹太人城市生存状况的关注,也体现了其深刻的人文关怀。City of Glass is Paul Auster's first masterwork,which reflects his strong awareness of space.By investigating the relationship between Auster's life story and the everyday living space in the novel,plus political power and New York's social space,Jewish culture and the space of difference,the article reveals that Auster discusses space from aspects of individuality,society and ethnicity,by which he points a way for contemporary American Jews to overcome urban alienation,resist social discipline,and pursue the significance of Jewish identity.This conveys not only the author's attention to the city life of contemporary American Jews,but also his profound humanistic concern.
