A Blend in Sichuan:The Academic Context of Vernacular Architectural Research of Southwest Jiaotong University

摘　　要：文章回顾了西南交通大学民居研究的发端和演化历程,尝试厘清其学术脉络。西南交通大学研究团队传承了中国营造学社的现场调研传统,重访了学社在四川调查的民居,汲取了学社的调研方法。团队关注四川民居建筑与聚落背后的逻辑生成,深入研究了巴蜀汉族地区的单体散居和场镇聚落,以及多民族地区的防御性聚落;特别是季富政教授,他在调研中融入了“画意”和“个性”,强调审美意趣和主观体验。在遗产保护层面,团队对民居调查对象提出了具有操作性的保护与利用策略。This paper examines the origin and development of the vernacular architectural research in Southwest Jiaotong University(SWJTU),aiming to clarify its academic context.The research team of SWJTU carried forward the on-site investigation tradition of the Society for Research in Chinese Architecture(SRICA),re-visited the vernacular buildings in Sichuan that had been investigated by the SRICA,and assimilated the investigation approaches of the SRICA.Concentrating on the underlying logic of Sichuan vernacular architecture and settlements,the SWJTU team conducted in-depth studies on the scattered individual houses and market town settlements in the Han area of Sichuan and Chongqing,as well as the defensive settlements in multi-ethnic areas.Professor Ji Fuzheng also incorporated“painting”and“personality”into the research,highlighting aesthetic appeal and subjective experience.At the level of heritage preservation,the team proposes some operational strategies for the future conservation and utilization of vernacular dwellings.
