哈佛案例教学法运用于商务英语教学的再思考

摘  要:哈佛商学院“案例教学法”广受赞誉,在商务英语教学中也受到不少教师的青睐。然而,关于在英语非母语学习环境中如何使用案例教学法的研究其实数量并不多,实践中如何改进值得深入探讨。在回顾案例教学法文献的基础之上,探索商务英语教学中如何批判性地融合哈佛案例教学法的元素,具有切实的理论和实践价值。在教学中,建议根据学生情况,量体裁衣式地搜寻和编写适宜的英文案例,并采取小案例和多任务等灵活方式。"Case method"is a well-lauded teaching method developed and disseminated by Harvard Business School.In the setting of business English,many practitioners claim to have been employing case method.However,the studies on the principles and particulars of exposing EFL students to business case discussion are quite scant and scattered,leaving much room for improvement of course delivery.This research,based on a comprehensive review of key literature on Harvard case method in the past century,aims to explore how business English teaching can critically incorporate elements of this method.In practice,it is recommended to compile tailored English cases based on student needs and adopt flexible techniques,such as using smaller cases and multiple tasks.
