Exogenous antibiotic resistance genes(Antibiotic resistance genes,ARGs)pose a serious threat to soil ecological health and agricultural product quality and safety. However, the colonization mechanism of exogenous ARGs in the soil-crop system remains unclear, and the mechanisms of cross-border migration are not well understood, directly hampering effective control of bacterial resistance contamination in agricultural systems. This study briefly discussed the current status of ARGs in agricultural systems, systematically reviewed the dynamic evolution characteristics of exogenous ARGs in agricultural soil and crops, and their correlation with soil properties. It elucidated the colonization molecular mechanisms of ARGs in soil throughout the processes of invasion, persistence, drifted and clarified the interaction processes and driving factors between resistant bacteria and endogenous bacteria.Furthermore,it proposed prospects and recommendations for future research on ARGs fate and elimination control in agricultural fields.
