Unravelling the Mysteries About the Tablet for Ji Zhao Monk in Former An Guo Temple of the Tang Dynasty

摘　　要：咸阳博物院藏《唐故安国寺寂照和上碑》,碑主为安国寺内外临坛大德寂照和上,段成式撰文,僧无可书碑。在综述相关石刻文献对此碑著录和考释的基础上,探讨石碑的立碑时间、迁移及其与安国寺的关系,揭示碑文在文献、文学和书法艺术方面的重要价值。Preserved in Xianyang Museum,the Tablet for Ji Zhao Monk in Former An Guo Temple of the Tang Dynasty describes the great monk Ji Zhao who attained a higher status both in royal Buddhism and in An Guo Temple in the Tang Dynasty.The inscription on the tablet was written by the well-known litterateur DUAN Cheng-shi,and its calligraphy was handwritten by monk Wuke who was the younger male cousin of the poet Jia Dao,representing the“Ku Yin”school of poetry in the Tang Dynasty.The inscription on this tablet is going to be written in official script and punctuated.The documents including the records and philological studies concerning this tablet discovered on some other relative stone engravings is to be summarized.The establishment time,movement of this stone tablet and its relationship with An Guo Temple is to be discussed.The important value of this tablet on the aspects of historical documents,literature and Chinese calligraphy art is to be revealed.
