评价理论视角下中国大学生英语演讲态度资源分布研究

摘　　要：英语演讲对于提高大学生英语综合运用能力具有重要的作用,而评价系统是系统功能语言学的延伸。该项目以马丁(J.R.Martin)的评价理论为研究基础,运用评价理论中的态度系统对中国大学生英语演讲中的态度资源进行研究,发掘英语演讲语篇中态度资源的使用情况、选择偏好及态度评价。研究样本包含两个演讲层次:一方面,从近5年内国内全国大学生英语演讲比赛两大赛事的国家决赛中选取;另一方面,从西安电子科技大学校赛选手的演讲稿文本中选取。研究发现,情感类态度资源与演讲效果存在一定正相关性,本项目的研究可以帮助学生了解并掌握英语态度资源的应用技巧,使演讲更具情感表达力和故事传达力。The evaluation system is an extension of systemic functional linguistics.This project takes J.R.Martin's evaluation theory as the basis of research and uses the attitude system in the evaluation theory to study the attitude resources in Chinese college students'English speech.The project aims to explore the use of attitude resources,preferential selection,and attitude evaluation in English speech discourse.The research sample includes two aspects.It selects the national finals of two major domestic university English speech competitions within the past five years.Meanwhile,it selects the speech of the contestants in Xidian University's school-level competition.It is found that emotional attitude resources are positively correlated with the effect of speech.This study can help students understand and master the application skills of English attitude resources,making speech more expressive.
