“立标以明道”:张载的理本论及其张力

摘　　要：张载重气,程、朱对此屡有微词。现代学者因此将张载理学归为气本论,认为与程朱理本论有根本不同。这或有过度解读之嫌,既没能照顾到程、朱批评的微妙之处,也无法照应张载学说自身存在的张力。二程“立标以明道”一语,既从“明道”的角度肯定了张载思想的理本论底色,也从“立标”的角度对其做了微妙的批评。以此语为线索可以发现:张载思想在以理本论为底色的同时,由于重气之宗旨,引发了向气本论滑转的可能,为理学史中“气”的本体化留下了思想空间。Zhangzai lays too much stress on qi,Cheng and Zhu repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with this.Modern scholars therefore classify Zhangzai’s Neo-Confucianism as the qi-based theory,believing that it is fundamentally different from Cheng and Zhu’s Neo-Confucianism.This may be suspected of over-interpretation,as it fails to take into account the subtleties of Cheng and Zhu’s criticism and fails to address the inherent tension of Zhangzai’s theory.The phrase establishing standards to clarify the way by Chengzai not only affirms the theoretical foundation of Zhangzai's thought from the perspective of clarifying the way,but also makes subtle criticisms of Zhangzai from the perspective of establishing standards.Taking this statement as a clue,it can be found that Zhang Zai’s thought,while based on the principle-based theory,also had the potential to shift towards the qi-based theory due to his emphasis on qi leaving room for the qi-based theory in the history of Neo-Confucianism.
