摘　　要：英国作家安娜·伯恩斯的《送奶工》通过对20世纪70年代北爱尔兰地区政治、性别以及成长问题的描写,将其中作为重要传播媒介的流言隐藏在叙事当中。流言作为引起焦虑的真正原因,不断建构着社区中的独语与失语状态,作者也利用不赋予人物名字的叙事手段巧妙地将流言与沉默的寓意暗含其中,以期在宏大叙事的背景下获得一种合理的对话空间,并希望个体以此获得寻求自由与救赎的可能。In her novel Milkman,British writer Anna Burns conceals gossip in the narrative as an important medium of communication in her depiction of politics,gender,and'growing up in 1970s Northern Ireland.Gossip,as the real cause of anxiety,is constantly constructing a state of soliloquy and aphasia in the community.The author also uses the narrative device of not giving names to the characters to subtly imply the moral of gossip and silence,in order to obtain a reasonable space for dialogue in the context of the grand narrative,hoping that individuals can thus gain the possibility of seeking freedom and redemption.
