英美一流大学如何进行本科教学管理?

摘  要:打造一流教学管理服务体系是促进一流本科教育建设的重要基础。运用斯蒂芬的组织结构理论,选择包括英国诺丁汉大学在内的六所英美国家的世界一流大学,从复杂性和集权度两个方面来分析它们教务组织的成功经验与共同特征。英美高校的教务组织架构复杂程度高,教学管理内容丰富,但分工明确;教学管理权下放至院系层面,突出院系和师生在教学管理中的主体地位;强调教学管理的跨部门合作,注重“服务”意识;具有专门教学研究机构和和较强的教学研究能力。借鉴英美国家的经验,我国的高校应重组教务组织结构,提升教学治理能力;转变教学管理理念,增强服务意识;立足校情与学情,加大教学研究力度。To build a first-class teaching management service system is an important basis for pro-moting the construction of first-class undergraduate education.Based on Stephen's organizational structure theory,this paper selects six world-class universities in the United Kingdom and the United States,including the University of Nottingham,to analyze their successful experience and common characteristics from two aspects of complexity and centralization.In the universities of the United Kingdom and the United States,the organizational structure of educational affairs is highly complex,and the teaching management content is rich,but the division of labor is clear.The au-thority of teaching management is devolved to the department level,and the main position of the de-partment as well as the teachers and students in teaching management is highlighted.It is emphasis on the cross-departmental cooperation of teaching management and paying attention to the con-sciousness of"service".It has the special teaching and research institutions,and strong teaching and research ability.Learning from the experience of the United Kingdom and the United States,Chi-nese universities should reorganize the organizational structure of educational affairs and improve the ability of teaching management,change the teaching management idea,and enhance the service consciousness.Based on the school situation and learning situation,it should strengthen teaching and research.
