摘 要:《中庸》“尽人之性”指向人之生命充分整全发展,即让其自然天性得以真实、彻底、自由地呈现与绽放,使人是其所是,成其所成;《中庸》“尽物之性”是指在成就自我生命的同时实现成就他人或他物的目的,让万物生命各得其所,各安其生。《中庸》借助“尽人之性”“尽物之性”等特有的概念范畴表达了其丰富的中国古典生命教育思想意涵:尊重生命的自然规律是朴素原理;促进生命的整全发展是目的旨归;唤醒生命的自觉能动性是动力源泉;达成生命的和谐共生是理想追求;等等。这些思想至今仍具有宝贵的借鉴价值。The Doctrine of the Mean proposes the thought of“fulfilling the nature of human beings”which aims at the full and integral development of human life,that is,to let their natural instincts be truly and completely exhibited and bloom and make human beings what they are and achieve what they want to achieve.It also proposes the thought of“fulfilling the nature of things”which means to achieve the goal of fulfilling one’s own life while fulfilling the lives of others and other things,so that all beings can live in their proper places peacefully.The Doctrine of the Mean expresses its rich implications of Chinese classical thought of life education with the two thoughts:respecting the natural laws of life is simple principle,promoting the integral development of life is ultimate goal,awakening the consciousness and initiative of life is dynamic,and achieving the harmonious coexistence of life is ideal pursuit.These thoughts still have important reference value today.
