摘　　要：随着国家产业结构的转型及升级、从制造大国向制造强国迈进等,我国的教育也应当与时俱进,不断培养与社会发展接轨、符合市场需求的高素质人才。而大学英语在应用型本科教学中,具有重要意义。为了能够更加适应社会对应用型人才的需求,大学英语教学将面临新的挑战及改变。专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes, ESP)教学模式与传统教学模式不同。在ESP教学模式中,可充分突出学习目的及学生的主体地位。ESP教学模式的运用,旨在满足学生对于英语学习的需求,并为其提供实际应用的技能及知识。With the transformation and upgrading of the national industrial structure,and the transformation from a manufacturer of quantity to one of quality,China's education should also keep pace with the times,and constantly cultivate high-quality talents in line with the social development,in line with the market demand.College English is of great significance in application-oriented undergraduate teaching.In order to better adapt to the needs of the society for application-oriented talents,college English teaching will face new challenges and changes.The teaching mode of specialized purpose English(English for Specific Purposes)is different from the traditional teaching mode.In the ESP teaching mode,the learning purpose and the dominant position of students can be fully highlighted.The application of ESP teaching mode aims to meet students'needs for English learning and provide them with practical skills and knowledge.
