摘 要:随着以ChatGPT为代表的生成式人工智能技术的发展,翻译实践和教育面临前所未有的机遇和挑战。本研究开展一项实验,采用在线翻译项目管理平台融合ChatGPT-4的模式,分析了58名译者进行人工翻译和译后编辑时的任务过程特征、速度、任务难度体验及译文质量,旨在探究生成式人工智能技术与专业翻译技术结合的潜能。结果表明,译者能较为有效地利用ChatGPT指令,通过人机对话在翻译项目管理平台中完成人工翻译和译后编辑两种任务。在ChatGPT的辅助下,这两种任务相较常规人工翻译在速度方面均有提升,而ChatGPT辅助译后编辑在降低任务难度和保证译文质量方面效果更为突出。此外,依据翻译任务特性下达人工指令以及在翻译项目管理平台中预置快捷指令,是利用生成式人工智能技术提高翻译效率的有效途径。As exemplified by ChatGPT,the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence(AI)technologies presents unprecedented opportunities and challenges in translation and education.To examine the task process characteristics,speed,task difficulty perception,and translation quality of the 58 translators during human translation and post-editing,an experiment was conducted using an online translation project management platform integrated with ChatGPT-4.The primary objective of this study was to explore the potential of integrating generative Al technology with professional translation technologies.The findings indicate that translators were able to effectively leverage ChatGPT prompts to perform both human translation and post-editing tasks through human-machine interaction within the platform.Compared with conventional human translation,the assistance of ChatGPT led to improved task speed in both translation and post-editing.Notably,ChatGPT-assisted post-editing demonstrated a more pronounced effect in terms of reducing task difficulty and maintaining translation quality.In addition,the use of human-directed prompts tailored to the specific characteristics of translation tasks,along with the implementation of preset prompts within the platform,has emerged as an effective strategy for enhancing translation efficiency through the application of generative AI technologies.
