英国平民阶层文学公共领域的现代性内涵

摘　　要：英国平民阶层文学公共领域的价值取向主要通过构建它的文本,以及围绕文本进行的文学活动呈现出来,尤其在宪章派文学与文学活动中表现得最为明显。尽管它反思与批判工业化与城市化带来的种种弊端,怀念宗法制生活,但却是内在于现代性的。反思与批判工业化与城市化带来的弊端并不意味着反对现代化,而是审美现代性的体现。怀念宗法制生活也不意味着要回到过去,而是批判现在的一种方法。它在精神维度上体现出对现代性最核心的价值理念——平等、自由、民主、正义等的追求。尽管社会主义的实践形态没有实现,但它所形成的公众舆论影响了政治改革乃至社会改革,促进了社会现代化进程。The value orientation of the public sphere of English Plebeian literature is mainly presented through the construction of its text and the literary activities around the text,especially in Chartist literature and literary activities.Although it reflects and criticizes the disadvantages brought by industrialization and urbanization and misses the life of patriarchal clan system,it lies in modernity.Reflecting and criticizing the disadvantages brought about by industrialization and urbanization does not mean opposing modernization,but the embodiment of aesthetic modernity.Nostalgia for patriarchal life does not mean going back to the past,but a way to criticize the present.In the spiritual dimension,it embodies the pursuit of the core values of modernity-equality,freedom,democracy,justice and so on.Although the practical form of socialism has not been realized,the public opinion it formed has affected the political reform and even social reform,and promoted the process of social modernization.
