摘  要:本研究开展了一项二语新颖词习得实验,既操控单词出现的语境情感,又操控其出现的语境变异性,检验语境情感能否通过学习者的阅读接触而迁移到单词,以及这种迁移如何受到语境变异性和性别的影响。215名大学生参加了实验,在阅读了45篇包含三种语境情感的英语小短文后(积极、中性和消极),参加即时和延时的词汇情感效价评分任务。结果发现,不管是男性还是女性,不管是在变化语境还是在重复语境,语义韵都可成功习得,但是,只有女性才可以不分语境条件地长期保留这种学习效果,而男性则只在变化语境下,即阅读多篇包含目标词的材料下才可以长期保留语义韵的学习效果。这些发现揭示了二语新颖词语义韵的产生机制,探讨了其重要影响变量,为二语词汇学习提供了重要启示。This study conducted an experiment on second language(L2)novel word acquisition,manipulating both context emotionality and context variability in which words appeared,to examine whether the affective content of the linguistic context can transfer to words through learners’reading exposure and how this transfer is influenced by context variability and gender.A total of 215 college students participated in the experiment,engaging in immediate and delayed emotional valence rating tasks after reading 45 short English texts containing three types of context emotionality(positive,neutral,and negative).The results indicated that semantic prosody could be successfully acquired,regardless of gender or context variability.However,only females could retain this learning effect over time,independent of contextual conditions,while males could only retain the learning effect of semantic prosody in the varied context,i.e.,after reading multiple materials containing the target words.These findings reveal the mechanism underlying the acquisition of semantic prosody in L2 novel word learning,explore its key influencing variables,and provide valuable insights for L2 vocabulary learning.
