摘　　要：潘诺夫斯基在其学术生涯中,曾围绕提香和霍尔拜因作品中的一个“三头标识”母题撰写过三篇论文,前后跨越三十年,构成了一个小型的“三部曲”。此文是第一篇(与扎克斯尔合作),作者以其深厚的人文主义学识,利用历史文献与图像,对当时收藏与鉴赏界倍感困惑的这一母题的象征含义进行了解释。在此基础上,潘氏于1930年和1955年两次返回这一论题,最终为我们现代人恢复了关于这一经典母题的文化记忆。In his academic career,Panofsky has written three papers around a"Signum triciput"motif in the works by Titian and Holbein,spanning three decades,forming a small"trilogy'.This is the first article(in collaboration with Zaxl)in which the author uses historical documents and images,with deep humanistic scholarship,to explain the symbolic meaning of this motif that puzzled the collecting and appreciation community at the time.On this basis,Pan returned to this thesis twice in 1930 and 1955,and finally restored the cultural memoryof this classicmotifforusmodernpeople.
