摘　　要：中国高校英语教师专业发展研究在国际前沿研究的影响与带动下一步步发展,慢慢形成了中国特色。通过对中国高校英语教师专业发展研究进行分门别类的描述和相应的评价,从知识结构的拓展、信息技术的融入、科研意识的作用、影响因素的推动、发展路径的丰富、实证研究的崛起等六个方面勾勒出此类研究的路径及进展,指出现有研究取得了很多标志性的成果,但也存在从理论到实践的种种问题与不足,未来需要在加强实证研究、拓宽理论渠道、扶持薄弱地区、跟踪研究热点方面取得新突破。21世纪的中国高校英语教师专业发展研究,需要在总结已有成就的基础上锐意进取,开拓创新,争取开创研究的新局面。The research on English teachers’professional development in Chinese colleges and universities is progressing step by step under the influence of international frontier research,and presents Chinese characteristics.This paper describes the research on the professional development of English teachers in Chinese colleges and universities with comments.It outlines the path of research in six aspects:expansion of knowledge structure,integration of information technology,role of scientific research consciousness,power of influencing factors,enrichment of development,and rise of the empirical research.It shows the landmark achievements,but also points out the existing problems.In the future,we need to make new breakthroughs by strengthening empirical research,broadening theoretical channels,improving weak fields and identifying research hotspots.In the 21st century,such kind of research should advance forward and accomplish more achievements.
