再论章学诚与孙星衍修志思想的差异——以《永清县志》《直隶邠州志》《松江府志》为中心的文本分析

摘  要:章学诚与孙星衍是清乾嘉时期方志名家,通过对章、孙两人所修志书《乾隆永清县志》《乾隆直隶邠州志》《嘉庆松江府志》文本分析,可以由小见大,看出他们分别所代表的修志新派、旧派在纂志风格、志书体例、文献观上的差异。以章学诚为代表的修志新派在“志属信史”修志思想指导下,推崇撰著体风格,认为志书体例当遵循史法,以体裁见长,厚今薄古,重视当代文献。而以孙星衍为代表的修志旧派则在“方志以考据存文献”思想指导下,视方志为舆地之书,采纂辑体风格,在志书体例上贵因不贵创,在记载中更信任、依赖古籍,忽视当代文献。Zhang Xuecheng and Sun Xingyan were famous local chroniclers in the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of theQing Dynasty. Through textual analysis of the Local Chronicle of Yongqing County in the Qianlong Period, Local Chronicleof Zhili Binzhou in the Qianlong Period, and Local Chronicle of Songjiang Prefecture in the Jiaqing Period compiled bythem, this paper discusseshow the old school represented by Sun and the new school represented by Zhang are different incompilation style, chronicle format, and views on literature. The new school represented by Zhang believes that “localchronicles belong to reliable history. ” They advocate the style of composition. They think that the format of local chroniclesshould follow the historical method and be good at genres. They prefer the present over the past and attach importance tocontemporary literature. The old school represented by Sun believes that “local chronicles preserve literature through textualresearch. ”They see local chronicles as books on geography, adopt the style of compilation, value inheritance rather than in⁃novation in terms of format,trust and rely more on ancient books in records, and neglect contemporary literature.
