翻译传播学视域下彼得·海斯勒《江城》译介探究

摘　　要：《江城》是美国作家彼得·海斯勒根据在中国涪陵的生活经历写就的非虚构文学作品。基于翻译传播学考察,就《江城》的译介而言,翻译传播主体是作者海斯勒和译者李雪顺,海斯勒创作了《江城》,写下了很多关于自己在涪陵期间结识的当地朋友的故事,并推荐李雪顺来翻译,李雪顺不仅准确还原了英文文本信息,还根据自己的经历和搜集查证资料,对原书中存在的错误与疏漏做了核实与订正。就翻译传播环境而言,《江城》在中国内地得以出版的时机与当时所处的经济发展阶段以及民众情感有密切的关系,海斯勒与出版社责任编辑合作,使得《江城》顺利出版。从翻译传播受众的角度看,中外读者均对《江城》做出较高的评价。《江城》的成功译介与翻译传播过程中各要素的协调配合密切相关。River Town is a non-fiction literary work written by American writer Peter Hessler based on his experience in Fuling,China.From the perspective of translation and communication theory,as far as the translation and introduction of River Town is concerned,the main subjects of translation and communication are the author Peter Hessler and the translator Li Xueshun.Peter Hessler created River Town,recording many stories about the local friends he made during his stay in Fuling,and recommended Li Xueshun to translate it.Li Xueshun not only accurately reproduced the information in the English text,but also verified and corrected the errors and omissions in the original book based on his own experiences and the materials he collected and verified.In terms of the translation and communication environment,the timing of the publication of River Town in Chinese mainland was closely related to the stage of economic development and the public’s sentiment at that time,and Hessler worked with the editor-in-charge of the publishing house to make the publication a success.From the point of view of translation and communication audiences,both Chinese and foreign readers have made a high evaluation of River Town.The successful translation and communication of River Town is closely related to the coordinated cooperation of various elements in the translation and communication process.
