摘 要:汉、英两种语言中均存在以“鱼”为喻体的比喻现象。从认知语言学视角出发,基于概念隐喻理论,通过对真实语料的对比研究,发现汉英“鱼”的概念隐喻在外形特征、行为特征、价值属性和功能属性等方面存在共性和个性的特征。这些异同性是由地理环境、历史文化和思维方式等多种因素共同作用的结果,了解隐喻及其文化内涵能帮助跨文化交际顺利进行。Both Chinese and English languages contain metaphorical phenomena using"fish"as the vehicle of metaphor.From the per‐spective of cognitive linguistics,based on the theory of conceptual metaphor,through the comparative study of real linguistic materials,it is found that the conceptual metaphors of"fish"in Chinese and English share common and unique characteristics in terms of physical features,behavioral characteristics,value attributes,and functional attributes.These similarities and differences are the result of the combined effects of various factors such as geographical environment,history,culture,and ways of thinking.Understanding metaphors and their cultural connotations can help cross-cultural communication proceed smoothly.
