关联翻译理论视角下中国古典诗词英译研究——以《许渊冲译白居易诗选》为例

摘　　要：关联翻译理论将翻译定义为语内或语际间的明示—推理的阐释活动,是一种言语交际活动,揭示了单元文化内语言交际的本质属性。本文运用关联翻译理论,以白居易经典诗词译文为例,详细分析了最佳关联性、认知语境、交际意图在中国古典诗词英译中的应用,发现关联翻译理论对于中国古典诗词翻译具有较强指导意义和文学鉴赏价值。在翻译中国古典诗词时,译者可多加运用关联翻译理论,以达到阐释中国诗词文化内涵、传播中华优秀传统文化、增进跨文化交际的翻译效果。Relevance translation theory defines translation as an ostensive-inferential interpretative activity within or between languages,which is a kind of linguistic communicative behavior,revealing the essential attributes of linguistic communication within a monoculture.Taking the translation of Bai Juyi’s classic poems as an example,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the application of optimal relevance,cognitive context and communicative intention in the translation of classical Chinese poetry,and finds that relevance translation theory has strong guiding significance and literary appreciation value for the translation of classical Chinese poetry.When translating classical Chinese poetry,translators can make more use of relevance translation theory to better interpret the cultural connotation of Chinese poetry,disseminate excellent traditional culture,and enhance cross-cultural communication.
