A noticeable gap exists between architectural education and the professional demands placed upon architects.Graduates from architecture programs must navigate a prolonged transition from academic settings to professional practice, gradually adapting to the complexities of architectural design tasks.Given the dynamic and evolving nature of the construction industry, architects are required not only to accumulate practical experience but also to continuously develop and refine their skills and knowledge. In this context, further training and continuing education become essential.Different countries impose varied requirements and approaches to continuing professional development, and these distinctions may have significant implications for the quality of the built environment. This paper seeks to provide a systematic examination and analysis of the mechanisms and implementation of continuing education for architects in Germany.By doing so,it aims to offer insights that may inform strategies for enhancing the professional development of architects in China, particularly within the current societal framework.
