摘　　要：Establishing a practical and high-efficiency multimedia teaching material database system plays a key role in the development of national information system and long-distance education .In consideration of the characteristics of multimedia data,data model,object-oriented analysis,metadata and so on,this article presents a structure of a source material database system to support multimedia teaching and discusses the functional module of this system and the requirement of multimedia material making .Establishing a practical and high-efficiency multimedia teaching material database system plays a key role in the development of national information system and long-distance education .In consideration of the characteristics of multimedia data,data model,object-oriented analysis,metadata and so on,this article presents a structure of a source material database system to support multimedia teaching and discusses the functional module of this system and the requirement of multimedia material making .
