As the first collection of poems in ancient China, many researchers have analyzed and explored the various images in The Book of Songs since ancient times. There are a large number of“water”images in the marriage poems of The Book of Songs, which are closely related to the love and marriage of young men and women.Water is the source of all life, and it is an important material basis for human survival and livelihood, and it is closely related to human life. However, water in The Book of Songs is not a mere object, but a typical aesthetic symbol. The formation of this image is closely related to the ancestors’reverence for the fertility and reproduction of water and the ancient ritual and music system, and contains a rich cultural connotation.
