摘　　要：我在2012年年初第一次有机会来到中国,这让我既兴奋又有些忐忑。在此之前,我已经在世界很多地方旅行和工作过,包括北美和欧洲。其实我7岁时就曾在开普敦待过6个月,2004年因参与一个超级跑车项目而重返南非。那是一次令人怀念的经历。我提到这些是因为,当我父亲在著名的女王大学担任大学教授时,在他休假期间,我随家人从加拿大环游世界,在非洲和澳大利亚各停留6个月,这种跨文化的经历在我少年时期就影响了我。从那时起,我就一直对探索世界和开阔视野充满好奇。因此,当我有机会来到中国,担任一家大型汽车制造商的设计总监时,我毫不犹豫地接受了这个挑战。My first opportunity to come to China back at the beginning of 2012 was met with great excitement and some trepidation.I had already extensively t ravelled and worked in many places around the world including extensively in North America and Europe with a short foray into South Africa which was somewhat nostalgic to return in 2004 on a supercar project after having earlier in my life spent 6 months in Cape Town as a young child of 7 years old.
