多动词连用结构的语体差异及事件语义研究

摘　　要：关于多动词连用结构,前人尚无深入讨论,也未基于真实语料展开分析。本文以口语会话语体和书面叙事语体为例,深入探讨多动词连用结构的使用规律、语体差异及语义特点和语用功能。研究发现,真实语言运用中多动词连用的数量最常见的是三个,最多不超过五个。与口语会话语体相比,书面叙事语体中多动词连用结构使用更多,这与两种不同语体的特点及视点运用差异有关。多动词连用结构中的多个动词根据动作之间的结合紧密程度有着不同层次的融合模式,在整体上表达一个复杂事件。另外,整个多动词结构编码的事件受时间和空间两个维度的限制,最多只能编码一个场景和路径范围中发生的事件。从语用层面来说,多动词连用结构主要表示日常常规动作组合、有特定目的或计划的事件,以及特定文化或习惯事件。Previous studies have not conducted in-depth discussions on multi-verb constructions,and no analyses are based on authentic corpora.Taking spoken conversations and written narratives as examples,this paper delves into the usage patterns,stylistic differences,semantic features and pragmatic functions of multi-verb constructions.The paper finds that in actual language use,the most common number of verbs in multi-verb constructions is three,or at most five;and that these constructions are less frequent in spoken conversations than in written narratives,which stems from the distinct stylistic characteristics and the different use of viewpoints between the two genres.Within multi-verb constructions,the verbs are fused at different levels depending on the degree of tightness between actions,collectively representing a complex event.Furthermore,the event encoded by the entire construction is constrained by both temporal and spatial factors,allowing for the encoding of events occurring at one scene plus one path related at most.Pragmatically,multi-verb constructions primarily represent combinations of routine daily actions,events with specific purpose or planning,and specific cultural or habitual events.
