摘　　要：Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm(SPN)of the pancreas predominantly affects young to middle-aged women,so it is referred to as a“daughter tumor.”Recently,Hua et al[1]conducted a study examining gastrointestinal functions(GIF)and mental stress(MS)in SPN patients after surgery.Utilizing a large cohort over 20 years and a cross-sectional online multi-questionnaire survey,their research revealed that approximately 20%of patients experience significant gastrointestinal dysfunction,and 15%suffer from notable MS after surgery.They found that pancreatic mesenchymal preserving resection(PMPR)and minimally invasive surgeries(MIS)substantially improve GIF and reduce MS.This study marks a shift in focus from solely oncological outcomes to the quality of life(GIF and MS)for SPN patients.
