Objective To investigate the effects of mental health management based on the Newman system model(NSM)on stress and coping in women undergoing IUI.Methods A total of 76 patients treated with IUI who received NSM-based mental health management in our hospital from June 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 76 patients treated with IUI who received routine psychological intervention in our hospital from June 2019 to August 2020 were selected as the control group.Fertility stress, coping ability and negative emotions were compared between the two groups.Result One week after the intervention, the scores of fertility stress scale(FPI),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)and negative coping scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the positive coping scores were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of mental health management based on NSM can improve the psychological stress and negative emotions of patients undergoing IUI,and improve the positive coping ability.
