摘 要:学界基于使用理论(Usage-based Theory)发现频率对二语习得具有预测作用。本研究对课外接触频次和词汇分布频率进行调查,探讨其对英语词汇习得的相关及预测作用。研究对象为143名非英语专业学生,通过背景问卷量表、词汇测试和随机访谈收集数据并分析。研究发现:1)被试英语接触频次整体较低,高频词显著高于低频词的习得效果。2)英语接触与词汇习得具有一定的相关性但不显著,课外接触对词汇习得具有一定的预测作用。3)词频与英语习得具有较强的相关性。根据研究结果,笔者指出英语学习者应加强语言使用相关的使用频次,增强在低频词方面的记忆和认知水平以更好习得英语词汇。Based on the Usage-based Theory,it is found that frequency has a predictive effect on second language acquisition.In this study,second language contact frequency and lexical distribution frequency were used as independent variables to investigate their correlation and predictive effects on English vocabulary acquisition.The object of the study was 143 non-English majors who completed the background questionnaire,vocabulary test,and random interview.Statistical analysis of the data found that(1)Foreign language learners had relatively low exposure to English,and the acquisition effect of high-frequency words was significantly higher than that of low-frequency words.(2)L2 exposure has a certain correlation with L2 vocabulary acquisition,but it is not significant.(3)Word frequency is strongly correlated with second language acquisition.According to the research results,the author points out that English language learners should strengthen the frequency of English use related to pragmatically and enhance the memory and cognitive level of low-frequency words in order to better acquire English vocabulary.
