论建设中华民族现代文明的使命与路径——基于汤因比的中国文明观

摘  要:历史学家汤因比在其著作中多次阐述了有关中国文明未来发展及中华传统文化的独到见解,并将中国文明视为人类文明未来发展的希望,认为具有独特品质的中国文明能够承担起主导人类文明和平发展的重任。汤因比有关中国文明的思想立足于历史与现实的双重观照,对于当前建设中华民族现代文明具有使命与路径两方面的启发意义。一方面,建设中华民族现代文明具有双重使命:一是文化现代化之使命;二是中华文明之世界使命。另一方面,建设中华民族现代文明需遵循三重路径:一是必须坚定文明自信,走具有中华民族特色的现代文明建设道路;二是必须秉持开放包容,顺应文明交流互鉴的发展趋势;三是必须坚持守正创新,充分汲取中华优秀传统文化养分。Historian Toynbee has repeatedly elaborated on his unique insights into the future development of Chinese civilization and traditional Chinese culture in his works,and regards Chinese civilization as the hope for the future development of human civilization.He believes that the unique qualities of Chinese civilization can shoulder the responsibility of leading the peace and development of human civilization.Toynbee’s thoughts on Chinese civilization are based on the dual consideration of history and reality,and has enlightening significance in both mission and path for the current construction of modern Chinese civilization.Firstly,building a modern civilization of the Chinese nation has a dual mission:the mission of cultural modernization and the global mission of Chinese civilization.Secondly,the construction of modern civilization of the Chinese nation needs to follow three paths:first,we must strengthen our confidence in civilization and follow the path of modern civilization construction with Chinese national characteristics;second,we must uphold openness and inclusiveness,and follow the development trend of cultural exchange and mutual learning;third,we must adhere to upholding integrity and innovation,and fully absorb the nutrients of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
