摘 要:在中国文学与文化“走出去”的战略下,研究与评估中国文化典籍的海外传播与接受效果,对于提升国际传播能力和国际传播效能具有重要意义。聚焦美国汉学家梅维恒的《庄子》英文全译本,选取彭马田《庄子》英译本作为对比案例,通过对再版情况、销售情况、读者反馈、馆藏数量和引用频次等指标的分析,系统考察译本的传播与接受情况。进而从译者身份、翻译模式、出版机构、翻译策略以及译本构成等方面深入分析译本传播与接受效果的成因,并总结其对中国文学对外译介带来的启示,为我国国际传播能力建设提供实践参考。Under the strategic initiative of promoting Chinese literature and culture internationally,the study and evaluation of the dissemination and reception of Chinese cultural classics abroad hold significant importance for enhancing international communication capabilities and effectiveness.Taking Martin Palmer's English translation of Zhuangzi as a comparative case,this study focuses on Victor H.Mair's complete English translation of Zhuangzi and examines its dissemination and reception through a systematic analysis of indicators such as reprinting frequency,sales figures,readers'feedback,library holdings,and citation frequency.Furthermore,this paper delves into the underlying causes of the translation's dissemination and reception by analyzing factors including the translator's identity,translation mode,publisher,translation strategies,and the composition of the translated work.These findings provide insights for the translation and introduction of Chinese literature to foreign readers,with a view to providing a practical reference for building up international communication capacity of China.
