晚清胶东学派考论  

The Study of the Jiaodong School in the Late Qing Period

摘　　要：孙葆田、宋书升、法伟堂、柯劭忞、郑杲五人,皆出生于19世纪40年代,籍贯分别为今青岛、威海、潍坊三地,属于胶东地区。他们学术兴趣相近,政治立场一致,私交甚好,活跃于北京、齐鲁学术圈,在经学、史学、文学、文字学甚至数学等领域皆有高深造诣。《清史稿·儒林传》和徐世昌《清儒学案》、钱穆《清儒学案》皆将之视为同一学派,列为清代学术之殿军。他们固守中国传统学术,其治学由经入史,讲求经世致用;学术上主汉兼宋,融合古今文经学;在文学创作上,诗宗杜甫,文踵桐城,展示出较为明显的特色,在晚清民初学术界具有较大影响力。Five representatives of the Jiaodong School,Sun Baotian,Song Shusheng,Fa Weitang,Ke Shaoming,and Zheng Gao were all born in the 1840s in the Jiaodong region covering present-day Qingdao,Weihai,and Weifang.They shared a close personal bond thanks to their similar academic interests were and aligned political stances.In addition,they were active in the academic circles of Beijing and Qi Lu(presently Shandong),excelling in fields such as Confucian classics,history,literature,philology,and even mathematics.As a re-sult,both Qing Shi Gao:Rulin Zhuan and Qing Ru Xue An by Xu Shichang and Qian Mu regarded them as members of the same aca-demic school,considering them the stalwarts of the Qing Dynasty scholarship.They adhered to traditional Chinese scholarship,with a fo-cus on classical texts,emphasizing practical applications with study on the Confucian classics towards historical research.Academical-ly,they blended Han and Song scholarship,integrating ancient and modern approaches to literature and the Confucian classics.In their literary works,they followed the poetic style of Du Fu and the literary tradition of Tongcheng with a manifestation of distinct characteris-tics.In summary,they had profound influence on the late Qing and early Republican academic domain.
