认知意象、跨语映射与中国政治隐喻的英译——以党的二十大报告为例

摘　　要：政治隐喻是政治主体通过隐喻思维对政治现实进行概念化和范畴化的重要手段。隐喻翻译是关涉语言与语境、经验与现实、文化与文本、生理与心理,基于“二次相似性”的复杂的认知推理加工和隐喻意象跨语转化过程。在不同映射关系和条件下,党的二十大报告运用“意象共享、认知等效的直译和回译”“意象兼容、认知近效的套译”“认知填白、意象明示的直译(加注)”“意象归位、认知纠偏的释译”“语境启动、认知连贯的增译”“意象整合、认知减负的省译”等英译方法,以实现中国政治隐喻认知意象的跨语精准转化,构建融通中外的中国特色政治话语体系。Political metaphor is an important means for political subjects to conceptualize and categorize the political reality through metaphorical mentality.Metaphor translation can be understood as a complex process of cognitive inference and crosslanguage transformation of metaphorical imagery based on"secondary similarity",involving language and context,experience and reality,culture and text,physiology and psychology.Under different mapping conditions,the Report to the 2oth National Congress of the Communist Party of China uses different English translation methods to translate Chinese political metaphors,including literal translation and back translation for metaphors with cross-lingual co-shared imagery and cognitive equivalence,correponding translation for metaphors with cross-lingual compatible imagery and cognitive proximity,direct translation(with annotation)to realize cognitive compensation and explicit imagery,paraphrasing to corect the target readers'imagery displacement and cognitive misconception,additional translation to realize contextual priming and cognitive coherence,and omission translation to realize image integration and reduce cognitive burden of target readers in order to achieve the precise cross-linguistic transformation of political metaphorical imageries and construct political discourse system of Chinese characterisctics which merge Chinese and foreign cultures.
