摘  要:本研究基于我国22,258位高校外语教师的在线问卷调研数据,深入分析高校外语教师科研素养现状。本调研涉及教师科研产出、对科研素养的信心、对外语教育学相关研究领域的熟悉程度和阻碍教师开展科研的因素四个方面。调研发现:高校外语教师积极参与各类型、各层次的学术活动,成果数量显著,但高质量期刊论文、高层次科研课题和国际会议交流的数量尚有待提升;高校外语教师整体对自身科研素养的信心较为一般;外语教师最熟悉的研究领域为教学、学习、课程和教材研究,对文学、翻译教育、测试、外语教育政策与规划等领域研究的关注度和熟悉度有待提升;阻碍教师开展研究的主要因素包括科研压力大、缺乏专家指导、照顾家庭、教学任务重、没有时间、缺乏同事的支持与合作等。基于调研结果,本研究建议教师从认知和实践路径上寻求积极的转变;高校和院系管理者从人力资源和物质资源两方面给予支持,营造一种协作型、支持型的科研文化氛围;各级教育主管部门重视外语教育研究并加大投入,建立完善的科研保障体系。This study examines the current state of university foreign language teachers'research competency in China via an online survey of 22,258 respondents.The survey examines four key areas:research output,confidence in research competency,familiarity with relevant research areas in Foreign Language Education Studies,and factors that hinder teachers'research engagement.Findings indicate that while university foreign language teachers actively participate in various types and levels of academic activities with a considerable amount of research output,there remains room for larger quantity of high-quality journal publications,high-level research projects,and international conference presentations.Overall,teachers demonstrate only moderate confidence in their research competency.The research areas in which they show the greatest familiarity include teaching,learning,curriculum,and teaching materials,while interest and familiarity with fields like literature studies,translation education,language assessment,foreign language education policy and planning remain limited.Key barriers to teachers'research engagement include high research pressure,lack of expert guidance,family responsibilities,heavy teaching workloads,limited time,and insufficient collegial support and collaboration,among others.Based on these findings,recommendations are offered at three levels.Firstly,teachers are encouraged to pursue positive changes in their cognition of and practice in research.Secondly,university and departmental administrators should mobilize support from both human resources and material resources,fostering a collaborative and supportive research culture.Thirdly,educational policymakers at all levels should prioritize foreign language education research,increase investment in this area,and establish a robust support system for research endeavors.
