摘　　要：美國當代作家索爾·貝婁自1976年獲得諾貝爾文學獎後,便逐漸成為國內學者的研究熱點。其中,關於他本人及其作品中的猶太性多年來一直被學界的批評家們廣泛討論。貝婁出身於猶太家庭且自小接受猶太傳統教育,深受猶太文化影響。正因如此,貝婁的作品創作無處不體現著濃厚的猶太意識,《赫索格》便是其中的典型之作。結合猶太文化語境,從母題、原型以及倫理三個層面全方位地探討小說中的猶太性,從而揭示貝婁希望以猶太哲學切入現代人精神困境的企圖。The contemporary American scholar Saul Bellow has gradually become a hot topic among domestic scholars since they won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1976.At the same time,the Jewishness of himself and his work has been widely discussed by academic critics for many years.Bellow was born into a Jewish family,received a traditional Jewish education from an early age,and was deeply influenced by Jewish culture.Therefore most,of his works embody the Jewish consciousnes,s and Herzog is the most typical one.Combined with the Jewish cultural context,the paper explores the Jewishness of Herzog from the three perspectives of motif,archetype,and ethics,revealing Bellow's attempt to use Jewish philosophy to cut into the spiritual dilemma of modern people.
