摘　　要：香港都会大学开办了理论与实践结合、获得业界认可和支持的应用型和专业型教育课程,通过香港特区政府教育局评审,于2024年成为香港地区第一所应用科学大学。其应用型和专业型教育,采用了灵活的招生政策、课程设计和授课模式,为学生提供了丰富的实习和在职学习机会;让业界深度融入参与课程设计、实施和评估,确保课程获业界和专业的高度认可;接受香港地区学术及职业资历评审局的定期复审,向香港特区政府教育局提交周年进度报告,确保稳步前进与发展。此次转型具有多方面重要意义:一是为青年学子拓宽了升学渠道,提供了更为多元的发展路径;二是极大地提升了学校的成熟度与竞争力,使其在教育领域开启新的征程,迈向更高的台阶;三是彰显了香港特区政府大力提升职业专才教育地位的坚定决心,有力推动香港地区朝着国际专上教育枢纽的目标大步迈进,为香港地区教育事业的繁荣发展注入强劲动力。Hong Kong Metropolitan University offers applied and professional education programs that integrate theory with practice and are both industry-recognized and supported.Having passed the evaluation by the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region(HKSAR)Government,the university became Hong Kong’s first university of applied sciences in 2024.The university’s education model adopts flexible admission policies,curricula,and teaching methods,providing students with extensive internship and work-integrated learning opportunities.Industry stakeholders play a key role in curriculum development,implementation,and evaluation to ensure it meets professional standards.Regular reviews by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications,along with annual progress reports to the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government,ensure steady advancement.This transformation is of multifaceted significance.Firstly,it broadens pathways for youth to access higher education and pursue diverse career opportunities.Secondly,it enhances the maturity and competitiveness of Hong Kong Metropolitan University,propelling it toward new milestones in higher education.Thirdly,it underscores the HKSAR Government’s commitment to elevating the status of vocational education,advancing Hong Kong’s vision as an international hub for tertiary education,and providing robust momentum for the region’s educational development.
