摘 要:信息技术的革新模糊了翻译行业的边界,涌现了大量身兼数职的斜杠译者,为推动汉语歌曲传播提供了新思路。文章选取三位有相当数量好评的汉语歌曲译配者:Shaun Gibson、杨家成及MelodyC2E,以Franzon的可唱性三维度为框架,探讨多重身份对汉语歌曲海外传播的独特意义。研究发现:在语音匹配层面,音乐人Shaun对歌曲的节奏把握较好。对比非音乐人译者,Shaun译配的歌曲在强弱拍转换方面具有更好的可唱性;在语义反身匹配层面,学生团队MelodyC2E比Shaun和杨家成更忠实原词;在诗意匹配层面,作为英语母语者和音乐创作人的Shaun可以再创作出符合目的语读者期待的韵脚。三人YouTuber和UP主的身份在汉语歌曲海外传播方面构建了新的媒介,有效促进了汉语歌曲“走出去”。面对讲好中国故事、汉语歌曲译配的挑战,斜杠译者可以成为新的回应方式。The rise of information technology has blurred the translation industry,turning the spotlight on a raft of slash translators who also do other sidelines(sometimes translation is their sideline)and offer a new perspective for promoting Chinese songs.This article takes the song dubbing of three renowned slash translators,Shaun Gibson,Yang Jiacheng and MelodyC2E to explore the unique significance of translators’multiple identities in the overseas promotion of Chinese songs,under the framework of three dimensions of singability put forward by Franzon.Study shows that,in prosodic match,Shaun as a musician has a good grasp of the rhythm.The transitions between strong and weak beats that Shaun dubs are more singable than those dubbed by nonmusicians.In semantic-reflexive match,MelodyC2E,a team formed by students is more faithful to the original than the other two.In poetic match,Shaun as a native English speaker and song producer creates rhymes that meet the expectations of target audiences.On top of that,their role as a YouTuber and Uploader has created a new channel for the global outreach of Chinese songs.All things considered,slash translators may well have the potential to contribute to China’s efforts to tell the Chinese stories and dub Chinese songs.
