少数民族文学外译中的挑战与译者应对——以《阿诗玛》戴乃迭英译本为例

摘　　要：叙事长诗《阿诗玛》是彝族文学经典,戴乃迭的英译本作为目前唯一的英译本,在少数民族文学对外翻译和传播中占据重要地位。《阿诗玛》具有鲜明的少数民族特色,戴乃迭在翻译过程中,在民歌体叙事诗的转换上,采用英国民谣体四行诗保留了彝族撒尼叙事诗的特点;在民俗文化的翻译上,采取了多种翻译策略来进行文化传递。译本对于中国少数民族文学外译具有重大借鉴意义。The long narrative poem Ashima is a classic of Yi ethnic group,and Gladys Yang's English translation,as the only English transla-tion at present,occupies an important position in the translation and dissemination of Chinese ethnic literature.Ashima has distinctive char-acteristics of ethnic minority groups,Gladys Yang,in the process of translation,adopted the English ballads to preserve the characteristics of the Yi language of the Sani people,and adopted a variety of translation strategies to transmit the folklore to the target readers.The transla-tion is of great significance for the translation of Chinese ethnic literature.
