摘 要:刘师培早年论述古典文学,将“征实”作为重要的评价标准,但又时时修正、调适。从大的艺术观考察,刘师培将书法、词章、绘画、小说都汇入“美术”名下,他的论证理路是以地理学视野下的南北界限区分艺术上的差别,进而以“征实”作为标准判断南北艺术的高下,这是当时科学思潮影响人文学科的反映,乃时代风潮使然。实际上他始终未以“征实”作为唯一的标准,直至讲学北大时期,最终确立了主观活动、情感力量在文学创作中的重要作用。前后差异与变化,既有中国学人独特国粹观的因素在其中发挥作用,也符合人文艺术的本来属性。依违之间,体现出晚清民国之际新的知识体系在形成过程中的特殊经历。In his early years,Liu Shipei discussed classical literature with a core viewpoint that emphasized“zhengshi”(征实),but also constantly revised and adjusted it.From a broader perspective on art,Liu Shipei categorized calligraphy,calligraphy,painting,and novels under the name of Fine art.His reasoning was to distinguish the differences in fine art based on the geographical boundary between the north and south,and then judge the superiority and inferiority of the fine art of the north and south based on“zhengshi”(征实).This was a reflection of the influence of scientific trends on humanities at that time,and was a result of the trend of the times.In fact,he never used“zhengshi”(征实)as the sole criterion.During his tenure at Peking University,he ultimately established the important role of subjective activity and emotional power in literary creation.The unique national essence view of Chinese intellectuals and the unique nature of humanities are the main reasons for the differences before and after.Actually,it reflects the special experience of the formation of a new knowledge system during the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.
